If a Supervisor of the Checklist is unavailable to accept the Application for Registration, the Town Clerk and her deputies are required to accept applications of those people who wish to become registered voters. The Supervisors of the Checklist must determine whether the applicant is legally qualified to vote in the community. (RSA 654).
Sessions for Maintenance of the Checklist
Supervisors of the Checklist are always available at the Town Offices during posted sessions to update the Checklist. These sessions are posted on the bulletin boards at the Town Offices and Library.
Special Sessions
The following mandated sessions occur prior to each election and are published in the Bedford Bulletin and posted on BCTV. Notices are also on the bulletin boards at the Bedford Town Offices and Library.
Posted Weekday Evening 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Posted Saturday 11:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Election Day
Another option is to complete an Application for Registration at the Polls on Election Day with a Supervisor of the Checklist.
